Excavators, machines, trucks, pipe and lumber, carried by landing craft from Campbell River and landed where your site has no dock.

98 ft landing craft·14 ft bow ramp·Since 1986

The answer

What we move to a job site.

We carry all freight. Machines, fuel, lumber, trucks.

For a remote job site that means the equipment to do the work and the materials to build with: excavators and other machines, trucks, pipe and lumber.

The Inlet Raider is a 98 ft landing craft with a 14 ft bow ramp. Machines drive on over the ramp and drive off onto the beach, so the site does not need a dock.

We load anywhere on the coast.

Not only at Campbell River. We load at Vancouver, at Victoria, or wherever the equipment is sitting now, and trucking it to the boat is often cheaper than moving it by water the whole way. We run from Seattle up through BC to Alaska.

How it works

How a site delivery works.

Four steps. Read down them and watch the ramp come down.

  1. 01Call

    Tell us about the load.

What the equipment or material is, roughly how big and heavy, where it sits now and where the site is. A phone call is fine.

  2. 02Plan

We plan the tide and the landing.

A beach landing depends on the tide and the shore at your site. We work out when and where she can come in.

  3. 03Load

Loaded at Campbell River, or where it sits.

Machines drive aboard over the 14 ft bow ramp, at Campbell River or anywhere on the coast where the equipment is now. Her deck is 64 ft by 17 ft, and she carries up to 100 tons.

  4. 04Land

Landed on the beach at your site.

She puts the ramp down on the shore and the equipment drives off. No dock. How a landing works →

Questions

What site managers ask.

Can you land an excavator on a site with no dock?

That is what a landing craft is for. The Inlet Raider puts her 14 ft bow ramp down on a beach or a ramp and machines drive off there. Tell us the make and model of the excavator so Bill can confirm it fits.

What equipment and materials can you move to a remote site?

We carry all freight. Machines, fuel, lumber, trucks. Excavators and pipe too. If it is something else, call Bill at 604-740-1599 and describe it.

Where is the equipment loaded?

Yes. We load anywhere on the coast. We load at Vancouver, at Victoria, or wherever the equipment is sitting now, and trucking it to the boat is often cheaper than moving it by water the whole way. Home port is Campbell River, BC, and we run from Seattle up through BC to Alaska.

How much can she carry?

Her deck is 64 ft by 17 ft and she carries up to 100 tons. Machines drive aboard over the 14 ft bow ramp, and two long-reach hydraulic cranes lift what cannot drive on. She makes 12 to 14 knots, and we run 24-hour service.

What does a site need for you to land?

No dock. The ramp goes down on a beach or a ramp. Whether a particular shore works depends on the beach and the tide, so describe the site when you call.

How do I get a price to move equipment to my site?

Tell us about the load, or call Bill at 604-740-1599. There are no rates on this site because every job depends on the load and the landing.
