Gear for film and science work, carried on the deck of a 98 ft landing craft from Campbell River.
98 ft landing craft·14 ft bow ramp·Since 1986
We carry all freight. Machines, fuel, lumber, trucks.
Aircraft. Helicopters. Excavators and pipe.
If it is heavy, awkward and has to get somewhere on this coast, tell us what it is, how big and heavy, and where the work is. Bill will tell you whether it goes.
We load anywhere on the coast: Vancouver, Victoria, or wherever your gear is sitting now. Her deck is 64 ft by 17 ft and she carries up to 100 tons, from Seattle up through BC to Alaska.

01
Tell us what it is.
What the gear is, roughly how big and how heavy, and where it sits now. A phone call is fine.
-
02
We plan the deck and the tide.
Where it sits on deck, and when the tide lets her land where it loads and where it comes off. We work that out before she leaves.
-
03
Loaded over the ramp or by crane.
Gear on wheels or tracks drives aboard over the 14 ft bow ramp. Gear that can't drive goes on by one of her two long-reach hydraulic cranes, like the submersible in the photo.

04
Out to where the work is.
She runs up or down the coast, anywhere from Seattle through BC to Alaska, and puts the ramp down on the beach, so the site does not need a dock.

What producers and researchers ask.
Can you carry a research submersible?
Yes. We have carried research submersibles on deck. Tell us the size and weight of yours and where it needs to go.
How does our gear get on the boat?
Gear on wheels or tracks drives aboard over the 14 ft bow ramp. Gear that can't drive goes on by crane; she carries two long-reach hydraulic cranes. Tell us what it is and Bill will tell you how it goes aboard.
Do you load anywhere other than Campbell River?
Yes. We load anywhere on the coast. We load at Vancouver, at Victoria, or wherever the gear is sitting now. Home port is Campbell River, BC, and we run from Seattle up through BC to Alaska.
How much deck is there, and how much can she carry?
Her deck is 64 ft by 17 ft and she carries up to 100 tons. Gear on wheels or tracks drives aboard over the 14 ft bow ramp, and two long-reach hydraulic cranes lift what cannot drive on. She makes 12 to 14 knots, and we run 24-hour service.
Have you moved aircraft by boat?
Yes. Aircraft and helicopters. That work has its own page: Floatplanes and helicopters.
Can our film crew come along with the gear?
Tell us about the crew, the gear and the location when you call, and Bill will tell you what works.
Can you get equipment to a remote shoreline for a shoot or a study?
If she can land there. The Inlet Raider puts her 14 ft bow ramp down on a beach, so the site does not need a dock. Freight to places with no dock.
How do I get a price for a charter?
Tell us about the job, or call Bill at 604-740-1599. There are no rates on this site because every charter depends on the load and the landing.
